- Kapitel 101 -

I will set nothing worthless before my eyes

A Psalm of David himself. I will sing mercy and judgment to you, O Lord. I will sing psalms.

And I will have understanding within the immaculate way, when you will draw near to me. I wandered about in the innocence of my heart, in the midst of my house.(a)

I will not display any unjust thing before my eyes. I have hated those carrying out betrayals.

The perverse heart did not adhere to me. And the malignant, who turned away before me, I would not recognize.

The one who secretly detracted his neighbor, this one I pursued. The one with an arrogant eye and an insatiable heart, with that one I would not eat.

My eyes looked toward the faithful of the earth, to sit with me. The one walking in the immaculate way, this one ministered to me.

He who has acted arrogantly will not dwell in the midst of my house. He who has spoken iniquity was not guided with the sight of my eyes.

In the morning, I executed all the sinners of the earth, so that I might scatter all the workers of iniquity from the city of the Lord.

Ich werde nichts Wertloses vor meine Augen setzen

Ein Psalm Davids. Von Erbarmen und Recht will ich dir singen, o Herr! will dir lobsingen.

Ich will mich einsichtig zeigen durch unbefleckten Wandel, wenn du zu mir kommst; ich will wandeln in der Unschuld meines Herzens inmitten meines Hauses.

Nicht will ich Unrecht vor meine Augen stellen, die, welche Böses tun, will ich hassen. Es soll mir nicht anhängen

ein verkehrtes Herz, den Bösen, der sich von mir abwendet, will ich nicht kennen.

wer insgeheim seinen Nächsten verleumdet, den will ich verfolgen; wessen Auge stolz ist und wessen Herz unersättlich, mit dem will ich nicht zusammen essen!

Meine Augen sind auf die Treuen im Lande gerichtet, dass sie bei mir wohnen; wer auf makellosem Wege wandelt, soll mir dienen.

Nicht soll in meinem Hause wohnen, wer Hochmut übt; wer Unrecht redet, soll nicht bestehen vor meinen Augen.

Am Morgen will ich alle Frevler im Lande töten, um auszurotten aus der Stadt des Herrn alle Übeltäter.
